This Privacy Policy explains how Care Cost Clarity ("we", "our", "us") handles information when you visit carecostclarity.com (the "Site") and use the free long-term care cost calculator ("Calculator"). We have written this policy in plain language so it is easy for adults age 50+ and their families to understand.

1. Summary

• The Calculator runs entirely in your browser.
• We do not require you to create an account or log in.
• We do not have a database that stores the numbers you enter.
• We use Google Analytics 4 to measure anonymous, aggregated traffic (see Section 5).
• We do not run advertising trackers.

2. Information we do not collect

Because the Site does not offer accounts and does not have a backend database, we do not collect:

• Your name, address, phone number, or email (unless you choose to email us — see Contact).
• Your age, savings, income, expenses, or any other figure you enter into the Calculator.
• Login credentials, passwords, or financial account information.

The values you type into the Calculator stay in your browser. They are used only to compute an on-screen estimate and are not transmitted to us.

3. Information automatically processed by our hosting provider

Like most websites, our hosting provider may temporarily process basic technical information (such as your IP address, browser type, and the page requested) in order to deliver the page and protect the Site against abuse. We do not use this information to build a profile of you.

4. Cookies and local storage

The Site uses Google Analytics cookies (see Section 5). The Calculator may use limited browser features (such as in-memory state) to display your estimate while you are on the page. See our Cookie Policy for details.

5. Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-PR1T5W6ZV8), a service provided by Google, to understand which pages help families most and how to improve the Calculator. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) and processes information like your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and approximate location. This data is used in an aggregated, pseudonymous form — we do not use it to identify you personally.

Google acts as an independent data processor and may transfer data outside your country. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy and Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

You can also block analytics cookies through your browser settings. We do not run advertising or remarketing trackers.

6. Third-party links

The Site links to Gumroad, an external platform, for purchasing the Full Offline Planner. When you click a Gumroad link, you leave our Site and are subject to Gumroad's own privacy policy and terms. We do not control and are not responsible for their practices.

7. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Your rights

Because we do not collect or store personal information, there is generally no personal data for us to access, correct, or delete. If you have questions about your privacy in relation to this Site, please contact us (see Contact).

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes — such as introducing analytics — will be reflected in this policy and in the Cookie Policy before they take effect.
